Lord Elis-Thomas: 'It's not about me'
Lord Elis-Thomas has told BBC Wales that his decision to leave the party and sit as an independent is "not about him" but the development of Wales' constitution.
The former party leader, who left the party dramatically on Friday, said the assembly is "faced with a threat powers might be seriously reduced".
He has rebuffed calls by others in Plaid Cymru for him to stand down and trigger a by-election.
