Aberfan anniversary: Choir performs at the Senedd
A choir from Aberfan has performed at the Senedd in Cardiff Bay as part of an event commemorating the 50th anniversary of the disaster.
One hundred and forty four people died, most of them children, when a mountain of coal waste collapsed and engulfed the school in the village near Merthyr Tydfil on 21 October 1966.
Children from Ynysowen Community Primary School and Ysgol Rhyd y Grug were joined by members of the Ynysowen Male Voice choir to sing for dignitaries including the first minister.
