Autumn Statement: 'Pitiful' increase for public services
Finance Secretary Mark Drakeford has said the extra money promised to Wales in the chancellor's Autumn Statement for day-to-day spending on public services is "absolutely pitiful".
He welcomed news of an extra £400m for capital projects over five years, with flood defences and high street regeneration among the areas likely to benefit.
But, with the Welsh Government spending around £15bn a year, Mr Drakeford said an extra £36m over four years for day-to-day or revenue spending would not go very far.
