Labour councils have a proud record, says Christina Rees
Shadow Welsh Secretary Christina Rees has praised Labour councils' record but warned May's local elections would be "tough" for the party.
Making her first speech to the Welsh Labour conference, since being appointed to the post in February, Ms Rees said she understood how important councillors were.
"In spite of brutal Tory cuts from Westminster, our Labour councils have a proud record of delivery across Wales," she said.
