Theresa May's visit to Bridgend 'telling' of Tory campaign

A Labour and Plaid Cymru alliance could undermine Brexit negotiations and put Jeremy Corbyn in No 10, the prime minister warned during a visit to Wales on the general election campaign trail.

Theresa May said an "unstable coalition of divisive nationalists" was causing "uncertainty and instability".

Her campaign visit on Tuesday comes after a poll suggested a surge in support which could see the Conservatives replace Labour as the largest party in Wales.

BBC Wales political editor Nick Servini said her visit to Bridgend shed light on the Tories' campaign strategy.
