Nepal disaster: Iestyn Richards-Rees on surviving the earthquake

A climber from Carmarthenshire who survived the Nepal earthquake has recounted the moment his tent started shaking.

Iestyn Richards-Rees, 28, from Llangyndeyrn, was bidding to be the youngest Welshman to conquer Mount Everest's North Col route.

He was in the same party as Mike Hopkins from Cardiff, who also survived.

Speaking on a sat-phone from Nepal, Mr Richards-Rees described what happened.
