Fifa president Sepp Blatter tells the BBC 'I cannot resign'

Fifa president Sepp Blatter has told the BBC he will not resign following his controversial statements on racism in football.

In an exclusive interview with BBC Sport Editor David Bond, the 75-year-old said, "This is not compatible with my fighting spirit, my character, my energy,"

Blatter recently denied there was any racism on the football pitch, and suggested that if one player used a racial insult to another, the two should settle the dispute by shaking hands.
