UN condemns Syria over massacre

The UN Security Council has condemned the use of heavy weapons by Syria's government during a massacre in the town of Houla in which at least 108 people were killed and 300 injured.

A UN statement described the use of force against civilians as outrageous and a violation of international law.

Syria's ambassador to the UN has rejected what he called a " tsunami of lies" blaming his government for the deaths, as Tom Esslemont reports.
