Green flying: Solar Impulse's first intercontinental flight

A solar-powered plane has flown from Europe to North Africa, completing the first intercontinental flight by an aircraft of its type.

The Solar Impulse took off from Madrid in Spain, before crossing the Mediterranean and landing in Morocco, after a 20-hour trip.

The experimental aircraft landed on Tuesday at the airport of Rabat-Salé.
