'Tanned whales' sun response clue to human ageing
The way different species of whale react to sunlight can shed new light on the human ageing process, researchers say.
Some become darker following UV exposure, in the same way as humans get a tan - but others protect from themselves from sunburn by turning genes on and off.
The work, published in the journal Scientific Reports, could lead to new anti-ageing treatments for humans.
