G20 summit: Nations remain divided on Syria

The G20 summit has concluded in St Petersburg, but bitter divisions remain over the possibility of military action in Syria.

Russian President Vladimir Putin restated his opposition to any strike, saying it would destabilise the region.

But US President Barack Obama said action was necessary following an alleged poison-gas attack that killed more than 1,400 in the Damascus suburbs on 21 August.
