David Miliband: Syria is collective failure of century

As the third anniversary of the conflict in Syria approaches, former British Foreign Secretary David Miliband has described the international response to the crisis as the "defining collective failure of this century so far".

Talking to BBC Newsnight's Emily Maitlis, the president of the International Rescue Committee said it was at a stage of being "a war without limit, seemingly a war without end and a war without law".
