Syria crisis 'a stain on international community' - Baroness Amos
The United Nations has made the biggest annual appeal in its history, asking for more than $16bn (£10.23bn) to fund its humanitarian operations next year.
The largest single sum requested, more than £7bn is for Syria.
The undersecretary general for humanitarian affairs and emergency relief coordinator, Baroness Valerie Amos, said what was happening in Syria was a "stain on the international community".
