Australian journalist's 'whirlwind week' after China 'standoff'

Bill Birtles was one of two Australian reporters removed from China over what local media say is a diplomatic standoff.

The other journalist is the Australian Financial Review's Mike Smith, who also reached Sydney on Tuesday.

Chinese authorities questioned both men before their departure.

Bill Birtles, who works for the Australian Broadcasting Corporation, spoke to the BBC about his experience.
