Africa's struggle to meet UN Millennium Development Goals

Africa has come a long way in the decade since the UN Millennium Development Goals were set, but much remains to be done if targets are to be met on the continent by the 2015 deadline.

Created in 2000, the eight goals aim to reduce poverty and hunger and improve health standards around the world.

As world leaders meet for a summit on the goals in New York, the BBC's Africa Correspondent Andrew Harding examines what progress has been made.
