Inside Southern Sudan's first brewery

If Southern Sudan breaks away from the north to form a new country after January's referendum on secession, it will be one of the poorest, least developed nations in the world.

The south is rich in oil but decades of civil war have prevented any development or investment.

As a sign of investor confidence the UK-based company, SABMiller, has set up a brewery in Juba - the main town in the semi-autonomous south.

This could not have happened when the south was under the control of the Islamic north.
