Libya conflict: Both sides claim upper hand

The violent unrest in Libya is claiming more victims as the international community argues about possible action.

Opposition fighters claim they have repelled an attack by Colonel Gaddafi's forces on the western city of Misrata.

But the Gaddafi camp insists that the uprising will be over within 48 hours.

The BBC's Ian Pannell set out from the opposition stronghold of Benghazi to try to reach the Ajdabiya - where both sides claim to have the upper hand.
