Libya crisis: US confirms use of armed drones

The US has confirmed it is flying unmanned armed drone aircraft over Libya as part of the Nato mission to assist the rebels.

Defence Secretary Robert Gates said President Obama had authorised their use, and that they would give "precision capability" to the military operation.
