East Africa drought: Corruption's role in Kenyan crisis

In eastern Africa, the suffering caused by the worst drought in years is being compounded by corruption among the authorities meant to be helping the people.

On Monday, the US pledged a further $100m in aid for the more than 13 million people who require food aid.

But while the Kenyan government is supplying food aid and investing in irrigation, campaigners say corruption helped create the crisis in the first place.
