Uganda's Lilian Nabulime uses soap to start sex discussion

Ugandan artist Lilian Nabulime is doing some unusual work dedicated to women's empowerment and the fight against HIV/Aids.

Ms Nabulime, who teaches art at Makerere University in Kampala, is known for her work on wood and metal but for several years she has also been using transparent soap to create small sculptures of male and female genitalia.

She has been in London over the last few days where she was invited to give a talk at the School of Oriental and African Studies (SOAS).

She also visited the BBC Africa studios in Bush House and told presenter David Amanor how she manages to get people to talk about sex.
