Central African Republic rebels agree to peace talks

Leaders of the rebel group which now controls northern parts of the Central African Republic have arrived in Gabon for talks with government negotiators later this week.

The rebel alliance, Seleka, began its fight against the government of President Francois Bozize in early December, but now say they have halted their advance on the capital, Bangui,.

The rebellion is the most serious threat to President Bozize's government since he seized power in 2003.
