President Obama begins tour of Senegal, South Africa and Tanzania

US President Barack Obama has begun a week-long tour of Africa in Senegal, on trip that will also see him visit South Africa and Tanzania.

Meeting Senegalese President Macky Sall, Mr Obama praised Senegal for having one of the most stable democracies in the region.

This is Mr Obama's third visit to Africa since he became president in 2008.
