Mali refugees: The plight of Mali's displaced children

Hundreds of thousands of people in Mali have been forced to flee their homes since clashes between armed rebels and government forces erupted in early 2012.

In Mauritania, 70,000 refugees live in dire conditions in the camp of Mberra, in the eastern desert that borders Mali.

The BBC's West Africa correspondent, Thomas Fessy, reports on the conditions at the camp. His report contains some distressing scenes.
