Mandela death: Bishop urges mourners to emulate leader

South Africans from across the racial and religious spectrum flocked to places of worship at the weekend, following Nelson Mandela's death.

Special prayers were said for the former president in Catholic churches, Hindu temples, mosques and synagogues.

In Soweto, thousands gathered to hear the Sunday sermon of Bishop Mosa Sono, who said people should strive to emulate the late leader.

The BBC's Milton Nkosi was in the congregation.
