Morsi: Former Egyptian president goes on trial

The trial of Egypt's former Islamist President Mohammed Morsi over his escape from prison in 2011 has begun, state media say.

The BBC's Sally Nabil said that there is a heavy security presence outside the Police Academy in Cairo, where the trial is being hosted.
