Nigeria schoolgirls: Goodluck Jonathan meets parents

Nigeria's President Goodluck Jonathan has had his first meeting with the parents of the 219 Nigerian schoolgirls kidnapped by Islamist extremists.

People including some of the girls who managed to escape their captors were bussed in for the conference-style meeting in Abuja.

The president has been heavily criticised for not doing enough to rescue the girls since they were taken by Boko Haram militants in April.
