Sierra Leone declared Ebola-free by World Health Organisation

Sierra Leone has been declared free from the Ebola virus by the World Health Organisation, after six weeks without a case of the disease.

The World Health Organisation said the country would now enter a 90-day period of "enhanced surveillance" to detect any new cases.

Nearly 4,000 people have died from Ebola in Sierra Leone.
