Super Typhoon Jelawat batters Japan's Honshu island

At least one person has died and more than 100 were injured after a powerful typhoon struck Japan's main island of Honshu.

Typhoon Jelawat made landfall on Sunday, bringing torrential rain, shutting down transport and cutting off electricity supplies. Tens of thousands of people have been ordered to leave their homes.

It is the second super typhoon to hit the region in two weeks.
