Flood misery in eastern Pakistan

Heavy flooding has affected nearly a million people in the east of Pakistan, with more rains expected on Thursday.

At least 140 people have died in recent monsoon floods in Punjab and Sindh provinces and hundreds of temporary camps have been set up to offer shelter to those who have lost their homes.

Shahzeb Jillani visited Multan in Punjab and described roads that had been completely submerged not far from the city.
