Chowdhury Mueen-Uddin says Bangladesh war crime trial was 'corrupt'

A UK based Bangladeshi Muslim community leader, convicted of war crimes in Bangladesh's 1971 war of independence, has described his trial as "corrupt".

Chowdhury Mueen-Uddin was tried in absentia by a special tribunal and sentenced to death after being found guilty of crimes related to the abduction and killing of independence supporters.

Mr Mueen-Uddin told the BBC's Divya Talwar that he is innocent of the allegations.
