Philippines typhoon: Briton 'hid in Cebu dive shop'

A British man visiting the Philippines has told the BBC he hid in a dive shop as Typhoon Haiyan struck.

Towns in Cebu province in the far north have suffered "80-90% damage" from the typhoon, according to disaster workers.

Luke Spence from Ripon in North Yorkshire had left his accommodation in Cebu to go shopping when the storm hit.

He also sent the BBC photographs he took of the aftermath.
