Typhoon Haiyan: UK to 'work with aid network'

The prime minister David Cameron has pledged an extra £4m in aid for the Philippines, bringing the UK's total contribution to the rescue effort to £10m.

Professor Anthony Redmond, who is leading the government's aid team, said he will work with a "network" of agencies.

At least 10,000 people are feared dead and thousands of survivors desperately require aid after Typhoon Haiyan swept across the country on Friday.
