Philippines typhoon: UK's HMS Daring aid effort under way

Members of the UK's aid relief team in the Philippines say they are "shocked" at the damage caused by Typhoon Haiyan.

HMS Daring has docked at Cebu after spending three days carrying out reconnaissance work using a Lynx helicopter ahead of international relief teams.

Its teams are distributing purified water, tarpaulins, food and medicine.

Alastair Leithead reports.
