Karzai wants Afghan-US deal delay

Afghan President Karzai has said he will sign a security deal between Afghan elders and the US only once American forces have brought peace to the country.

The assembly of elders, known as the Loya Jirga, voted in favour of the pact which would enable thousands of American troops to remain in the country after 2014.
