Army HQ in Bangkok targeted by Thai protesters

Hundreds of anti-government protesters in Thailand have forced their way into the army headquarters in Bangkok.

Protesters climbed over the gates of the compound on the sixth day of demonstrations.

The action comes despite Prime Minister Yingluck Shinawatra's plea for talks after comfortably winning a vote of no confidence in parliament.

The protesters accuse her of being the puppet of her brother, the exiled former leader Thaksin Shinawatra.

Jonathan Head reports from Bangkok.
