Thai soldier's death 'warning' of further unrest
There has been a lull in protests against Thailand's government ahead of the king's 86th birthday, after days of violent demonstrations in the capital Bangkok.
At least four people have died since unrest began on Saturday and three of the victims were government supporters.
Soldier Thanasit Viengkham was shot in the head during some of the worst clashes in eastern Bangkok, after volunteering as a guard at a pro-government rally.
His mother Niyom Viengkham spoke to the BBC's Jonathan Head about her loss.
