Malaysia Airlines plane 'may have turned back'

Radar tracking a missing Malaysia Airlines plane shows it may have turned back from its scheduled route to Beijing before it disappeared, officials say.

Flight MH370 from Kuala Lumpur to Beijing disappeared south of Vietnam on Saturday with 239 people on board.

Royal Malaysian Air Force chief Rodzali Daud told a news conference that looking at a radar recording showed "there is a possibility the aircraft did make a turn back."
