2,000 Chinese workers flee Vietnam after protests

Two ships evacuating Chinese workers from Vietnam after deadly riots last week are now returning home.

Chinese state media says the ships have picked up nearly 2,000 people from the industrial port of Vung Ang, one of the sites hardest hit by the violence.

The unrest has been triggered by a territorial row over the South China Sea.

Martin Patience reports from Beijing.
