Taliban split 'good sign' for Pakistan government

A major faction of the Pakistani Taliban has announced it is splitting from the militant umbrella organisation.

A spokesman for the Mehsud group said the group leaders' tactics were "un-Islamic".

The BBC's Shahzeb Jillani said the group's struggle for power had been going on for a number of months.
