World Health Organization: Pakistan polio programme 'a disaster'

The polio vaccination programme in Pakistan has been described as ''a disaster'' by monitors reporting to the World Health Organization.

They say inadequate political commitment and Taliban attacks on vaccination teams have led to Pakistan now accounting for four out of every five new polio cases this year.
