India mother places gay marriage ad

A mother in India has placed an advert in a Mumbai-based newspaper seeking a husband for her son.

Padma Iyer's ad asked for a "well-placed, vegetarian, animal-loving groom" for her son, Harish, a gay rights activist.

Three papers rejected the advertisement before it was finally published.

Harish Iyer explained why his mother decided to place the ad.
