Japanese PM: WW2 soldiers 'sacrificed for Japan's prosperity'

Japan's prime minister has paid his respects to those who died in World War Two, speaking of his "sincere regard" for them.

Shinzo Abe was speaking at a memorial service to mark 70 years since the war's end.

He said that the dead "sacrificed their lives for the future and prosperity of their homeland".
