Thai Crown Prince Maha Vajiralongkorn leads 'Bike for Mom' ride

Thailand's Crown Prince Maha Vajiralongkorn has led thousands of cyclists in a bike ride through Bangkok in honour of his mother, Queen Sirikit.

The queen turned 83 on Wednesday and is in frail heath.

Organisers hoped the 'Bike for Mom' event would set a new world record for the greatest number of people cycling at once, beating Taiwan's record of 72,919.
