Fall of Kunduz an 'embarrassment' for Afghan government

Heavy fighting is continuing in the northern Afghan city of Kunduz as government forces attempt to take back the city from the Taliban.

Two US air strikes on Tuesday halted an attempt by insurgents to seize the airport, the army's stronghold.

The BBC's Waheed Massoud is in Kabul, and he says the fall of Kunduz has been "an embarrassment for the Afghan government".
