Kunduz police chief: 'Carry on as normal'

The Afghan government says it has retaken control of Kunduz from the Taliban, three days after the insurgents swept into the city.

Sources told the BBC that a night-time offensive by government special forces took just hours to drive them out.

Quasim Jangal Bagh, the Kunduz Police Chief, said the city's residents should try to "continue with their normal life".
