Myanmar elections: 'Burmese cannot accept us'

There is just a month to go until Myanmar holds what is expected to be its first properly contested election in 25 years.

Thanks to a complex political system and a military-drafted constitution, it is far from clear who will emerge as president.

This election has already been a bad one for Myanmar's Muslims, who make up at least 4% of the population.

Under pressure from Buddhist monks, the two main parties have refused to name any Muslim candidates, and only a handful of the more than 6,000 candidates are Muslim.

Jonah Fisher met one Muslim candidate, who is standing for the United National Congress.
