'Fireball' over Japan captured on camera

A dazzling object which lit up the southern skies of Japan has been caught on several cameras overnight.

It may have been part of an asteroid that burned up in the Earth's atmosphere, according to researcher Hitoshi Yamaoka, from the National Astronomical Observatory of Japan.
