Chinese man collects Japanese WWII photo albums

The images China most associates with the Japanese occupation years are of executions, brutality or mass graves.

But one man in the Chinese city of Qingdao is an avid collector of personal photo albums which belonged to Japanese wartime soldiers, and says they show the human side of the story.

Zou Dehuai said the photos teach us how to "avoid repeating the pain".

He told the BBC about some of his most intriguing finds.
