'You need to sing, to act, to fight'

It is a centuries-old art form and a unique part of Hong Kong's identity - but many people fear that Cantonese opera could die out if it doesn't reinvent itself.

Chan Wai Kin, a performer with The Young Academy Cantonese Opera Troupe says extensive training is needed to perform the art.

"There's a lot of combined training - you need to sing, to act, to fight... so there's a lot of work behind the scene for every performance," he says.
