Brics nations discuss trade links at talks in Delhi

The leaders of Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa are meeting in Delhi to discuss ways to strengthen their trade links.

Rising energy costs and the uncertain economic climate in the US and Europe are taking their toll on the Brics nations - as they are known. They make up forty per-cent of the world's population.

Despite a slowdown in economic growth, countries such as India still offer lucrative business opportunities.
